The primary focus of this lighting design was to establish the time of day for the production. In addition, the scene of the men catching Susannah bathing in the river allowed for an interesting use of the ProCyc background. Also, moments, such as the uprising of the townspeople allowed the lighting to reinforce the dark nature that the people were demonstrating.
